Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Information and Procedures
As an institution of Higher Education, Massage Institute of Memphis applied for and was awarded funds to provide emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care.

• MIM acknowledges that it signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the school has used, or intends to use, no less than 50% of the funds received under Section 18004 (a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
• MIM acknowledges that it signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the school has used, or intends to use, 100% of the funds received under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act and the American Rescue Plan Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
• MIM received $53,146 in Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF).
• As of December 15, 2021 MIM has distributed $39,984 to students.
• The estimated total number of students eligible to participate in Title IV programs and thus eligible to receive Emergency Student Grants under the HEERF program is 38 students.
• The total number of students who have received an Emergency Student Grant under the HEERF program as of July 8, 2020 is 15 students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Student Grant under the HEERF program as of December 17, 2020 is 20 students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Student Grant under the HEERF program as of December 15, 2021 is 38 students.
• MIM provided grants of $350 to all eligible students.  MIM provided additional grants to students in amounts pro-rated for the number of months remaining in each student’s academic program.  Students received or will receive funds as paper checks.
• Eligible students are those enrolled on or after March 12, 2020 and who receive Federal Student Aid (Title IV) through MIM.
