Thai Yoga Bodywork with Magnus Eklund

Magnus Eklund BCSI, MS LMT 144 an LMT since 1994 and a KMI graduate where he studied with Tom Myers. He is board certified in Structural Integration (CBSI) 500 hours. He is an Advanced Guild for Structural Integration Practitioner, where he studied the fascial work of Dr. Rolf with Emmet Hutchins. He is a graduate of Lillsved Sports Institute in his native country, Sweden (Human anatomy/exercise physiology). He has worked with professional athletes, USIBC Ballet Dancers & Olympic Athletes & was selected an official member of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics athletes medical team (sports MT). He is the founder of SMT & has taught since 1999 in cities like: Chicago IL, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, LA, Memphis, Nashville, TN, Birmingham, Mobile, Dothan, AL, Biloxi, Jackson, MS, Atlanta, Savannah, GA, Orlando, Destin FL & more.

Description: This 4-hour CE course is a hands-on manual therapy course with demonstrations of Thai Yoga Bodywork myofascial techniques with assisted client movement based on an ancient healing modality thousands of years old. Learn assisted stretching, hands on compressions and kneading techniques that improves muscle and fascia pain and joint dysfunctions, shoulder and neck mobility, nerve flow, postural and movement dysfunction, and more. Thai Yoga Bodywork includes a variety of advanced fascial therapy techniques, rocking, movement, and assisted stretching to solve myofascial pain & dysfunctional mobility patterns. This course is taught on the massage TABLE, but participants may also use mats for hands-on applications.
Magnus is trained by the protégé and successor of Ida Rolf the legend in manual therapy Emmett Hutchins. Magnus is a KMI certified SI practitioner & is Advanced Guild SI. Magnus has worked with many professional athletes in the Olympic games, NFL players & more.
